Spec
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Experience: No prior experience needed
- Health: Reasonable physical health required. You can find the PADI medical form here.
- Time: 1 day (approximately 6 hours)
- Academic: Online e-learning and brief theory session
- Confined Water: Basic skill session in the ocean in shallow water
- Water: 2 open water dives

At Bali Dive Cove, we start straight off the beach, where you'll be immediately immersed in the beauty of the underwater world, surrounded by many fish in the sheltered shallow waters. For the second part of the course, we visit the world-famous shipwreck of the USAT Liberty (weather permitting). This is not a scuba certification, but it provides a quick and easy insight into what it takes to become a diver!
What’s involved:
- E-learning to be completed before you arrive or on the morning of the experience
- A brief theory session to learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive
- An overview of the scuba equipment you will use
- Experiencing what it’s like to breathe underwater
- Learning key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive
- Most importantly, having fun diving around and exploring
After the experience, we'll look through books to identify the fish you encountered, enjoy a local Indonesian lunch, and provide information about further courses and travel opportunities. If you enjoyed your experience, you can credit what you have done towards the PADI Open Water Course.
